C&D Land Care LLC Policy Section
C&D Land Care LLC provides land clearing, defensible space, brush removal, weed abatement, forestry cleanup, mulching, mowing, and wildfire mitigation services. We are a locally owned and insured land clearing company serving Butte County and surrounding rural Northern California communities.
Scope of Work
All work is based on the approved estimate, job notes, property walkthrough, photos, or written agreement. Any additional work requested outside the original scope may require a revised estimate or additional charges. This includes extra acreage, heavier vegetation than originally discussed, additional hauling, hidden debris, storm cleanup, fence line clearing, access clearing, or work in areas not included in the original estimate.
Access to Property
Customers are responsible for providing safe and clear access to the work area. Gates must be unlocked, vehicles moved, animals secured, and personal property removed before work begins. If our crew cannot access the job site or the work area is not ready, a rescheduling fee or minimum service charge may apply.
Property Lines, Utilities & Hidden Hazards
Customers are responsible for clearly identifying property lines, septic systems, irrigation lines, wells, private water lines, electrical lines, propane lines, drain fields, underground utilities, survey markers, and any other hidden or sensitive areas. C&D Land Care LLC is not responsible for damage to unmarked, unidentified, buried, hidden, or improperly installed items. If underground utilities may be present, the customer is responsible for having them located before work begins.
Safety & Fire Conditions
Safety comes first. C&D Land Care LLC reserves the right to delay, stop, or reschedule work due to unsafe conditions, extreme heat, high winds, red flag warnings, equipment concerns, poor access, steep terrain, fire danger, or any condition that creates unnecessary risk to people, property, equipment, or the surrounding area.
Weather & Scheduling
Land clearing and fire mitigation work is affected by weather, soil conditions, fire restrictions, equipment availability, and emergency conditions. Scheduled dates are always our best estimate, but may change due to rain, mud, heat, wind, fire danger, mechanical issues, or previous jobs running longer than expected. We communicate schedule changes as quickly as possible.
Debris, Hauling & Disposal
Debris handling is based on the approved estimate. Brush, limbs, chips, mulch, logs, rounds, and green waste may be mowed, mulched, chipped, piled, left onsite, or hauled away depending on what was agreed upon. Hauling and disposal are not included unless specifically listed in the estimate.
Defensible Space & Compliance Work
C&D Land Care LLC performs defensible space and weed abatement work based on the agreed scope and local standards. When requested, we can help coordinate inspection or reinspection with the appropriate agency. Final approval is determined by the inspecting authority, and additional work may be required if the inspector requests corrections outside the original scope.
Payments
Payment is due upon completion of work unless another written agreement has been made before the job begins. Invoices are expected to be paid promptly. Larger jobs, multi-day projects, special scheduling, subcontracted work, hauling-heavy jobs, or material-related jobs may require a deposit before work begins.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
We understand plans change, but last-minute cancellations affect our crew, equipment schedule, and other customers. Please provide as much notice as possible if a job needs to be rescheduled. Cancellations made after equipment, crew, or materials have already been dispatched may be subject to a minimum service charge.
Right to Refuse or Stop Work
C&D Land Care LLC reserves the right to refuse, pause, or stop work if the job site is unsafe, the requested work is outside our scope, the property conditions are significantly different than represented, payment terms are not followed, or the work creates unacceptable risk to people, property, equipment, or the environment.
Our Goal
Our goal is to provide honest, reliable, and effective land clearing and wildfire mitigation work. We focus on doing the job safely, efficiently, and correctly while helping property owners reduce fire risk, improve access, and maintain compliance.
